East Sussex Community Voice ‘Embedding and Evaluating the NHS Volunteer Responders Programme’
In 2021 ESCV were commissioned by the Sussex Health & Care Partnership (SHCP) as part of a national programme funded by NHS England (NHSE) to evaluate how how NHS Volunteer Responders had been utilised within the three places, how they were understood by local partners, and present the views of people and organisations that operated in the volunteering landscape beyond NHS Volunteer Responders.
The overall aim of the project was to better understand the need of NHS Volunteer Responders in the immediate and longer term.
The project methodology included:
- analysis of data provided by NHSVRS in relation to usage and information about
the volunteers - contact with relevant local authorities in the three Places
- contact with a wide range of voluntary organisations.
