Social Care Volunteer of the Year Award 2024 – East Sussex Partners in Care Awards
The Volunteer of the Year award is given in recognition of the dedication and commitment made by an individual to a social care setting or service.
This award incorporates volunteers of all ages (or anyone over 16 years of age with no upper age limit) and seeks to acknowledge and celebrate the dedication that volunteers provide to, a care service, their local community, or the difference they have made to the life of an individual receiving care and support.
The person must have been helped bring about change in the last 18 months, be unpaid and receive no financial reward. The individual should be able to demonstrate that they have had a significant positive impact on the lives of people using services, other volunteers and/or that they have gone the extra mile.
Eligibility
- Is unpaid and receives no financial reward.
- Has volunteered in a care service in East Sussex for a minimum of 12-months.
- Must be over 16 years of age.

ESPIC believe volunteers are invaluable to social care services, bringing compassion, flexibility, and a wide range of skills that enhance the care experience for service users, support professional staff, and strengthen community ties.
