Forging Links – Youth Social Action Project

East Sussex Community Voice are pleased to invite you to our Forging Links event where we will be showcasing a steel sculpture designed by a group of local young travellers and created by a local blacksmith.

The young people hope this event will bring together the local community to better understand the lives of young travellers and celebrate their work.

Funded by BBC Children in Needs ‘Youth Social Action Fund’ and East Sussex County Council, this work is part of our Youth Social Action project aims to engage young people across East Sussex in Social Action activities.

The event will be held at Maresfield Village Hall on 14th February from 2pm to 5pm.

If you would like to attend, please sign up via Eventbrite here.

There is some limited space for organizations to have stalls, if you would like a stall, please contact me asap.

There will be food and drink available at the event, and children and families are welcome.

We look forward to seeing you.

FUNDING INFORMATION:

The #iwill Fund supports the aims of the #iwill campaign – to make involvement in social action a part of life for young people, by recognising the benefit for both young people and their communities.

The #iwill Fund is made possible thanks to £50 million joint investment from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to support young people to access high-quality social action.

By bringing together funders from across different sectors and by making sure that young people have a say in where the funding goes – the #iwill Fund is taking a collaborative approach.
