ESCV holds project training and networking day

East Sussex Community Voice is currently supporting four community organisations who have received grant funding for diabetes projects as part of an NHS grant programme. In November 2023, we held a project training and networking day for representatives from each project.

The day included training from Diabetes UK as well as an opportunity for projects to network and share best practice with each other. The organisations involved in the programme include two homelessness charities, a GP surgery and a local community project.

Feedback from the day was hugely positive, with participants increasing their knowledge of diabetes and sharing valuable conversations about the communities they support through their projects. The day also provided an opportunity for projects to check in with ESCV about evaluation and reporting and to discuss the next steps for their grant activities.
